Bank of America/FirstFranklin/HLS Complaint - Take Responsibility for Your company
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- Thanks to the advise of the representative at First Franklin, I signed a forbearance Agreement and continued with a lower payment plan on time as agreed. Regardless of all the promises of this making me eligible for a loan modification and not adversely affecting my credit score I have now ruined my credit in attempt to qualify for a Loan Modification. I was told by First Franklin I could not qualify because my payments where on time, so I signed an agreement to lower my payment with the promise of not ruining my credit. Upon calling to check up on my review for modification, I was surprised that all my contact numbers somehow now led to a B of A contact who could not help me out with the delinquent marks on my credit report because "they were not the company that put them on my credit in the first place" When I asked for the First Franklin contacts, no one could tell me how to contact them or what happened. I asked the credit bureaus to verify the delinquencies as inaccurate, and somehow they were able to contact First Franklin, but unable to supply me with the number to get in touch with them....Totally illegal according to my rights as a consumer that are stated on the first page of the credit reporting agency's website. So I looked up First Franklin and their relationship with B of A, at this point not surprised to find that B of A now is First Franklin!!! They bought out First Franklin and are now hiding behind their statements of "We can not take off the delinquent marks since we did not put them on" ....yet of course they are certainly sitting there on the phone with the credit bureaus fighting my dispute with the delinquent marks!!!And to top it off, B of A is now telling me that because I am late I can not qualify for a Loan Modification, where as, I applied for forbearance in the first place so that I WOULD qualify! How is it that no one knows what happened, when they are now in control of the previous company and sitting in their offices? How is it that the same company that told me one thing, is now telling me the exact opposite?
Your company needs to take responsibility rather than act like it has nothing to do with you.
