Ashley Furniture Complaint - Don't Buy From Ashley if you want a decent piece of funiture
CHEYENNE, WYOMING -- I bought a Recliner from the Ashley store in Cheyenne Wy on Aug 23 2009.In only 3 months I started to notice the right corner of the seat was sagging and the right back was leaning back I was Ill for awhile and out of town so it was April when I first called them They never returned my call so I kept calling the Manager finally called, She said she had to get ahold of someone else and gave me the run around for almost 4 months. They sent a guy to look at it he took the back piece of cloth off and pushed on the springs with his fingers then said he was going to order a new seat cushion, When it arrived he came and put it in that only lasted a few day's. So I called and told them to send someone else to look at it. Another man did come I told him to set in it and he said oh yes it is sinking so he took cloth off back and said Oh I see the whole mechanism has shifted to the right, Then he said I can bring some more foam and stuff it in there. I said NO. So he said I could pick out another chair which I did. They Delivered it July 29 2010 and it did the same thing in 2 weeks, So I called and told the Mgr. She said she'd call me back which never did So I wrote a letter to the Attorney Generals Office and just yesterday got a letter back and a copy of the letter that Mgr. wrote to them I can't believe any one could use such a stupid excuse she said the Tech. they sent said it was because of the way I had it positioned in my house and that I sit on that side so that is why it is sinking in on that side. I am not a huge person. I have it next to an end table that has my Phone and lamp on as most people do. So I will never go in that store again.
