Delta Airlines Complaint - Connection FAILURE!
Is it just me or does everyone seem to have problems with this airline flying out of or connecting in Atlanta? What's the problem? Delta has very poor communication and I will never be flying with this airline in the future. Delta just lost a loyal client and I will be sure to tell everyone who will listen my unfortunate ordeal with this airline.
I was flying from Pensacola to Denver with a connection in Atlanta with my two small children. I arrived in Denver and magically my two carseats that I checked made the connection, however, my two rolling suitcases did not. I was told at the lost luggage counter that my bags were still in Atlanta and that they would be on the next flight to Denver. Then she proceeded to tell me they would be delivered to my doorstep the following morning. She then handed me three complimentary toiletry bags...thanks a lot, how about some cash for diapers, formula, and clothes for my babies?
The next evening they called to inform me one bag had arrived, however, before making the oh so inconvienient drive to Colorado Springs they preffered to wait to see if my second bag would show up!! Really? Um your first mistake was waiting to call me until that evening, and your second was telling me one bag had arrived and yet you failed to deliver it promptly due to your inconvienience. A day goes by and I end up calling them and demanding my bag be delivered sans the one they are waiting on, I have two small children who need clothes, blankets, and diapers. Finally the next evening they bring me one bag.
I receive a call the next morning "we are glad to hear you have been reunited with both of your bags we will now close your claim." Excuse me I was reunited with one bag where the heck is my other bag? Oh by the way I received my clothing not my childrens so I'm fuming now. I call them, they have to re open a new claim and magically they no longer know where my bag is....call back later. I call the next morning. My bag was never received by Delta, it was in Customs! "We no longer can do anything but have you fill out a lost baggage claim form. If it shows up we will call you other than that I can't further assist you." SO I call customs and they insist that Delta IS responsible and that they don't hold onto baggage. So I am now back at square one with a claim form and apparently they take a minimum of 8-10 weeks to even proccess claims, that's not including sending out my owed reimbursement.
Long story short, I will no longer be a loyal client of Delta. Goodbye!
