UtiliPro, Inc. Complaint - UtiliPro Is A Fraud - Central A/C

Review by micaheath on 2010-10-21
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- My a/c unit stopped working on 10-18-2010 so I called my appliance warranty company, UtiliPro, to schedule a repair appointment. The technician arrived at my home and checked out the a/c unit and stated that the compressor on the unit was bad and that it was not covered under my warranty. When I signed up for this warranty I was told that every thing on the unit would be covered and nothing would be pre-existing. I called UtiliPro and spoke with a supervisor and a manager and they still refused to cover the cost of the compressor repair. They only offered as a last resort to cover the labor cost for the repair. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I am taking other action including legal procedures to enforce this warranty. Buyer beware, "Never use UtiliPro, Inc. for any home appliance warranty. The company is a FRAUD!

What does it say in the warranty document?

The small warranty book that was included in the welcome to UtiliPro package shows the parts that are covered and it shows compressor as covered with certain exceptions in fine print. How can an a/c unit be not be covered when the compressor is the basic parts of the a/c? But regardless, I was lied to from the start and was told that every thing was covered and nothing was pre existing!
