Please add me to the list, Americredit has added so many fees, ruined my credit and continue to call my home and work numerous times a day..I tried to arrange a payoff and make good on this debt but Americredit would not even work with me...the finance charges and added fees are in the thousands and at the rate it was going I would never have this Kia paid for....and my credit score is ruined because of them..I was forced to do an involuntary repo of the vehicle and now I will probably end up owing thousands of dollars for nothing...this has been devastating. I would advise everyone to think twice before getting involved with Americredit, not a reputable company.. banks and credit unions are familiar with the problems related to this company.

It is not the fault of a lender if an individual’s credit is damaged due to one’s failure to honor their financial obligations.

It is unclear Americredit did anything wrong based on this description. Banks must be paid back, and there is no reason to expect they will work with you to do so beyond the terms you agreed to when you borrowed their money. If they do, fine, but it isn't in the contract that they will. It is unfortunate you lost your car, but this is one of the greatest risks of making loans.

Americredit did plenty of things wrong but I thought it repetitive to go into every detail after reading the numerous complaints from other consumers. I am refering to the ongoing late fees added even if a payment is not late, penalties and interest and overall rip-off. I agree that a loan should be repaid and honored, however, not at a loan-sharks discretion with negative terms.
