Hydroxytone Complaint - Hydroxytone-doesn't work and terrible miscommunications about costs and obligations
JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- I ordered a 30 day trial period kit. It arrived on time, but did nothing for me. I was billed and paid $67. Then somehow they had signed me up for an automatic reshipment membership, so I got a second shipment. I explicitly said I did not want to sign up for any recurring reshipment at all. I had spoken to a customer service representative Now I had to pay for shipment twice (one that got automatically billed to my credit card, the second time to return the darn thing). I called to cancel my membership and was told I owed another $67 dollars for my first trial shipment! They said I had to pay that in order to cancel anything. Since I had gone past the 30 days trial period, I was fine with paying for the first shipment but I had no idea that the actual cost was twice that initial amount I was originally told (billed separately in two payments). All I can say is SNEAKY, SNEAKY, SNEAKY. I'm irritated that things weren't made clear to me. Be careful ordering this stuff. Aside from not working and a waste of money, you may also end up paying more than you originally thought. False advertisement! Customer service also hung up on me. So I'd say their customer service is also lacking. Admittedly I was not happy but we were close to finishing up. I had to call back to get another person to confirm cancellation and return instructions.
