Assurant-John Alden Disability Insurance Complaint - Assurant/John Alden Disability Insurance Billing
My husband & I took out individual policies for disability insurance in 2008. We enrolled for annual direct withdrawal to get the better premium price. The company took 2 years of premiums towards my policy and didn't take any form my husbands in 2009. Now, they have taken another premium towards my policy and 2 premiums for my husbands in the last 3 months, 2010. I really think this company's billing is messed up and don't think we should have to pay my husbands 2009 premium in 2010. Who pays back payments for insurance? It was their mistake, we were not contacted for payment and I think they should write off their mistake & pay me back the two years of premiums they owe me for charging me to pay head to 2012! If we weren't now over 40 and our premiums would be much higher if we were to switch, I would have liked to found a better company to insure us. I don't trust they will pay if a disability does arise.
