Dish Network Complaint - Worst company I have ever dealt with
I have NEVER known a company so awful at customer service. When I signed up with Dish Network it was with my husband, and being the controlling man he was... used only his information for the account, but MY bank card. So long story short, I got a protective order and left with my 3 kids. Ex keeping all the equipment, etc. So I get a call from Dish Network out of the blue stating that if I did not return the equipment that they would be taking $700 out of my bank account. Confused, I called in to discuss the situation. They were so rude. They told me too bad that my card was the one that opened the account, and it doesn't matter that almost 2 years of payments were on his card. They told me to return the equipment. So I try explaining how I simply cannot return equipment I do not have access to. The man tells me take the police. Well, firstly I am in a different state.... and second the police cannot help because it is HIS name and social on the account. They absolutely do NOT care about people WHATSOEVER, and will gladly take money out of your account. I understand that they are a business and need to make money, but there are always exceptions and situations that certain people have no control over. I offered proof of my move, of his address, of the protective order. I even begged them to charge a card that actually had more than $50 dollars in it (kids cost money and he does not pay any child support)that has been used for ALL the monthly payments. They refused. Disgusting that people can get away with acting like this.
