Medco Health Complaint - Why can't they get it right?
My family has been using MedCo through our insurance plan for about 6 years. It was okay when we all lived at home, but since my sister and I have moved away, it has caused no end of trouble. Getting shipping to the correct location is a nightmare. They rarely call about prescriptions when they won't send them, and when they do, they call the wrong person. Since neither my sister nor I are particularly interested in the others medications, both of us are without what we need. When we call at the only times we are free, they tell us that they can't help because our plan is handled by special case managers, only available 9 to 5.
MedCo also overcharged on a generic. The medication is available from pretty much any local pharmacy (WalMart, Target, Walgreens etc) for $4 for a 30 day dose, or $10 for a 90. Even when insurance doesn't cover the 90 day, its still cheaper than the $30 co-pay with Medco FOR THE EXACT SAME GENERIC MEDICATION!
