Guardsman furniture protection (Valspar/Guardsman) - Complaint
Review by jennybfromtheblock on 2010-10-30
GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN -- Http://www.bbb.org/Minnesota/business-reviews/manufacturers-and-producers/the-valspar-corporation-in-minneapolis-mn-1186

The BBB rates them A+, but I absolutely disagree. They are denying my claim for a water stain after having me call them, send them my plan information and a sheet filled out with claim information. They then sent me another letter asking me for a copy of my receipt showing proof of purchase (which I amazingly had after 3.5 years). Now I receive a letter stating that "the required timeframe for the stain or damage has not been met under the terms of the protection plan". Bologna because I called them within the required 5 days! I think they hope that everyone will get tired of jumping through hoops or will not have the required information to send to them. They are scammers and just want to take the money and run. I am going to contact them further on this, but wanted to share the link to their BBB site....which I will definitely be filing a complaint through if they do not resolve this for me! Please go to the BBB and let your complaints be heard.
