Dish Network Complaint - Horrible experience - Installation
Due to loss of income we had canceled cable about 18 months ago. Things have improved and so we decided to add either satellite or cable. After comparing rates it seemed as though Dish Network offered the best choice. I signed up online and choose my install date. The "window" they give is a five hour window...five hours? So, I arranged to take time off from my job. The day before the scheduled installation I received an automated phone call to confirm again the 5 hour window. The next day no one shows up. I call with about 1 hour remaining on my "window" and was put on hold, not once, not twice, but three times as they attempt to contact the installer. To no avail. They nonchalantly tell me that I'll need to reschedule for another day because they can't reach the installer. Seriously? No call to me, I call and they act like it is no big deal. Rescheduling isn't an option for me, especially given their inability to hold to their original date and time and given they never contacted me, and that I had to initiated the call.
I would never ever, ever, ever consider using Dish Network based on my horrible experience. I'll choice another provider that will first hold their appointment and if they can't would at the least call and apologize for the enormous inconvenience that missed appointments cause.
By the way, I have never written a review before. But this was so egregious that I felt compelled based on their customer no service.
