TRACFONE.COM Complaint - Refer A Friend Plan for Free 100 mins.

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- MY FRIEND BOUGHT A TRACFONE.
SHE WENT TO TRACFONE.COM
SHE ACTIVATED HER TRACFONE ON-LINE FOR THE FREE 10-20 UNITS.
WHILE SHE WAS ON-LINE ON TRACFONE.COM SHE SEEN AN OFFER FOR: "IF U REFER A FRIEND GET 100 UNITS FREE." SO MY HOMIE REFERED ME AND ENTERED MY E-MAIL AND WHEN I CHECKED MY E-MAIL THERE IT WAS THE "REFER A FRIEND OFFER". SO I FIGURED IT SOUNDED LIKE A GOOD IDEA SINCE I NEEDED A PHONE ANYWAY. I RAN TO WAL-MART, PURCHASED A TRACFONE (MOTOROLA V60i), DROVE TO THE LIBRARY TO GET ON-LINE. I WENT TO YAHOO.COM TO CHECK MY E-MAIL, DOUBLE CLICKED ON THE OFFER. THE E-MAIL TOOK ME TO "TRACFONE.COM"; WHERE I ACTIVATED MY TRACFONE FOR THE 10-20 UNITS. THEN I ACTIVATED THE "REFER A FRIEND OFFER" FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS.

HERE'S THE KEY: THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 48 HOURS OR SO TILL THEY SENT ME MY UNITS VIA E-MAIL.

1. THE OFFER IS GOOD FOR A MONTH FROM TIME OF E-MAIL ACTIVATION. SO I HAD 30 DAYS.

2. I NOW HAVE 5 DAYS LEFT AND STILL NO E-MAIL VERIFICATION OF FREE 100 UNITS FOR MY FRIEND OR I.

3.OUR TRACFONES HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING OBVIOUSLY.

4. A POP UP WINDOW SAID IF YOU HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY E-MAIL OR HAVE QUESTIONS CALL:
"1-800-867-7182" AND IF U CALLED THIS NUMBER YOU WOULD SEE THAT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TRACFONE OR TRACFONE.COM.

SO WHAT'S WITH THIS SCAM....THEY JUST WANT YOUR INFORMATION SO THAT THEY CAN SELL IT TO OTHER COMPANY'S LIKE YOUR SOME TYPE OF CURRENCY...WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF IT....."NOT BETTER PRODUCTS"...MORE LIKE EVERYONE KNOWS ALL YOUR INFORMATION TOO THEIR ADVANTAGE....AND YOUR LEFT WITH E-MAILS FROM EVERYONE AND THEIR MAMMA.

I purchased a new tracfone recently and used the internet to register it . I waited the 24 hrs and still no service . I called tracphone and was told I would have to wait til the monday . Monday came and went and still no service I called tracfone back again and was told I would be on by 11.13a.m on Monday 13th March . Still no service so yet another call to Tracfone I was then told they would mail me a new sim card to reach me by Wednesday 15th March . You guessed it it didnt materialise . Thursday 16th DHL delivered a package from Tracphone and I was really angry to find the package was empty . I called Tracphone back again and was told they would send another sim card by overnite delivery to arrive today March 17th and yes you guessed it no delivery . I called Tracphone again and was told I had been lied to and to expect it tomorrow March 18th . Some customer service I dont think . I am fully expecting to have to call them yet again tomorrow .
