OMAHA, NE -- We have been paying automatically through our bank 2x the minimum due each month on our (Jewelry Television / JTV) account. In August 2010, they quadrupled the minimum due over night without notice. Today, in September, I called about the minimum due and the late fees. They said the minimum due increased because of new federal laws and claimed that a notice was mailed. They only removed one late fee as a "courtesy." (they did offer to remove all the late fees if I paid off < $500 balance).
We brought up the account to zero due until December, however, I'm going to transfer some funds and call the back tomorrow to pay off and close this account. We will never buy another product from any company that uses Bill Me Later.
