ServiceMaster Complaint - Service Master and a Flood
VENTURA, CALIFORNIA -- (I apologize if this is posted wrong site)
1 week ago tomorrow (10/28) our tolet sprung a leak, and it flood the majority of the house. Farmer's sent a claims adjuster next day and explained the process to us and told us that they contract through service master. Later that day a Service Master employee show up and took a quick tour of the home and setup their industrial fans to dry the house out. That night they put us up in the local Residence Inn. Two days after checking in, we went back to the house to find that the carpet was dry (it's industrial carpet with no insolation underneath). The Services Master employee said that his moisture meeter showed dampness so he told us we should wit a until Tuesday (today) We just got a call from Farmers saying that they have approved our stay for another 9 days. Even though we are not paying a cent, it smells fishy. Is this Service Master taking advantage of our hom owner insurance policy? Does this look familiar?
