Home Depot Complaint - Refusal to Remove Carpet
Our carpeting project went well until Home Depot called to give us the final cost. It was then that we found out that they would not remove the old carpet because we have a dog and a cat. Neither of our pets has ever soiled the carpet to be removed. We canceled our order on the spot. This is the craziest thing I have ever come across when making home improvements. Over the years, we have had carpet installed several times in both of the homes we have owned, and there was never a problem because of having pets. If Home Depot refuses to remove carpet in households with a pet, I can only wonder how many potential customers they lose. In all of our years of home ownership and making improvements, we have never encountered anything this ridiculous. And it also makes me wonder--do they also refuse to remove carpet if the consumer has children?
