Priceline.com Complaint - Don't use Priceline
Everything was good when I booked my purchase in August, 2010. Then came the warning that the TSA has new regulations in regard to stating gender and date of birth. As a law-abiding teacher, I contacted Priceline to resolve the issue. They referred me to the airline, Continental, who said that my plane ticket name was "None" and "No One." Of course I contacted Priceline about this and they insisted that I should cancel my reservation...I refused...remember, this was not only a flight, but a rental car purchase. For a month I tried to resolve this issue, even contacting the TSA, who referred me back to Priceline. They continually wanted to cancel my reservation, and I always said no, because I did good business with them previously, and I was on their side when I said that it would be unfortunate if they lost my business. So ultimately, they said (again) that I could cancel my reservation and get a refund of $316, even though I paid $892 for the plane ticket and the car rental.
Here's a note to all: always book your flights, hotels, rental cars on a credit card. Bank of America called me out of the blue to ask me about how I was enjoying my card..I said "good" and immediately I thought of Priceline. I am now disputing the bill for the full amount and hopefully I will get all of my money back.
Don't do business with Priceline.
