David's Mobile Home Transport Complaint - Tears Down, Transports And Installs A Mobile Home

Review by moppymoe on 2010-11-08
SOMERSET, OHIO -- David's Mobile Home Transport told us he could get us moved and installed in a couple of days it is going on a couple of months with no end in site. Please do not use this company unless you can afford to be out of your mobile home months at a time.

I should have gotten it all in writing even down to how many days it would take to get our home moved and installed had I done that we would have been in our home in a couple of days instead of still waiting.

I also should have checked with prior customers, the BBB, OMHC and online and if I did that I would never hired David's Mobile Home transport. He has 4 complaints with the BBB and mine will be the 5th, last year he has 6 or 7 complaints with the Ohio Mobile hOme COmmission and he has several complaints online at vairos sites wher eone can review a company.

I owuld not recommend this company to anyone and I would ask those who have had bad dealing with the company to please go to the Ohio Mobile Home Commison web site and print out one of their resolution dispute papers and use that to file a complaint, send a copy to your Ohio Senators and Represetnatives and the Governor as they oversee the Commissiion, please also file a complaint with the Better Businss Bureau so hopefully this ocmpany willnot prey on other innocent people and keep them out of their homes fo rmonths on end when it only takes 2 days at the most to install a home, but hen this guy could never start work until 1 in the afternoon, do a couple hours work and disappear for a week or two come back at 1 in th eafternoon do a few hours work and disappear for another week, no end in site here!

Im not trying to be mean here, but its better to do these types of searches BEFORE you dish out your hard earned money. You learned the hard way.

I thought they were called mobile homes because they could be moved on wheels. What had to be torn down?

jamie, they have to be dismantled to move and reassembled after the move depending on the size of the structure. Many mobile homes have the tow gear and wheels removed once it has been placed on-site initially.
