United Benefit Services Credit Card Complaint - Complaint possible fraud

Review by DOA36 on 2005-03-16
ILLINOIS -- Over one month ago I was contacted by a company, USB (United Benefit Services) offering me a credit card. I've been trying to get my credit back in line and accepted their terms. $2500 limit with a one time only fee of $354.90. I thought I asked all the right questions and called back the number they gave me. I even received a paper in the mail to sign for insurance on the card. I was to receive my card within 2weeks of payment. It is now 30days after payment cleared, which was electronically taken from my checking account. I have called the number provided to me 1-866-284-5041 to find out CCR company is handling their calls. There is no internet web site, however supposively I applied on-line for this card. I've given up on this card and have written the money loss as a well deserved lesson to be had. The address I have received for this company is 100 Walnut D15 Suite 100, Champlaigne New York. I have not been able to verify this either.

Uh-oh, sounds like the old "advance fee" loan scam. Report the transaction to your bank as fraud and good luck on the outcome.
