Fisher Paykal Complaint - Don't buy fisher paykel

Review by fisherpaykelsucks on 2010-11-08
I bought a fisher paykel washer and dryer. Both stopped working in 2 years. You would think that buying the extended warranty would have helped. It did not. Noone on the east coast stocks parts and there are very few people to service this brand. the service group that finally arrived was reluctant at best to service this as they are more than 2 hours away. It got to the point that I have decided to throw the washer away and buy a different brand from Sears.

Fisher Paykel does have one advantage; speed of water extraction. That said no one who isn't handy enough to read their blogs or do research should buy one. Never but never buy parts from. Sears Direct and several other sources sell much cheaper. If you check the blogs you could probably find the answer to the problem and lots of diagrams, parts lists, etc. They really do expect you to be a DIY-er The shops that do sell and service are usually very expensive. I bought a control board and pump for just under 135.00 and my FP is now back to working. NEver replace a control board before replacing the pump.
