The Forum Restaurant Complaint - Not Top 10 - Food Service
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA -- The Forum Restaurant was included in the Top 10 list of a respected local magazine, and I took my visiting NYC daughter there on a Saturday night to show her what a Minneapolis restaurant could do. The experience was memorable--for all the wrong reasons. We waited two hours for our food to be served, despite the fact that the place was not crowded. Our waiter tried to be brave but the kitchen that had his back was inexplicably incompetent. There never was a cogent explanation for the delay in service, and when management tried to compensate for this ineptitude with a complimentary dessert, one arrived frozen enough for a saw. It was an embarrassing performance from a supposedly first-class restaurant. The art deco ambience is superlative, but, as a friend of mine was won't to say, "you cannot eat the wallpaper."
