Ft. Wayne Nissan Infinity Compliment - Be careful who you trust and read before signing

Review by herman1961 on 2010-11-09
FT. WAYNE, INDIANA -- I received a verbal quote for an Infinity from this dealer that was $2000 less than the written invoice I signed after driving 300 miles to close the deal. Prior thereto I received one verbal and one written offer of $1000 less than their invoice at dealers much closer to my home. Unfortunately I failed to scrutinize the invoice and it was not explained to me (I am 74 years old and my eyesight is limited). In addition a $299 worthless theft polity was added to the invoice which was never discussed with me, nor would I have considered it if it had been. I didn't discover the errors until I returned home two days later. My complaints then fell on deaf ears and/or were not responded to. Be wary of their verbal representations and insist that the paperwork be prepared for your review before closing - then read very carefully before signing. No stars for this, in my opinion, shady dealer.

When working with a car dealer, what is on paper and the concept of "read everything before signing" is of paramount importance. I'm sorry they took you for a ride.
