T-mobile Complaint - un-explained charges
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- My father’s first cell phone was with Sprint PCS and after his two year contract was over, he decided to switch over to T-mobile. Big mistake. He originally got a 361 area code with t-mobile and when we moved to San Antonio he switched his area code to a 210. T-mobile assured it would be no problem since we were still with the company. He got his t-mobile contract on 9/14/04 and 6 months later, they are telling him he had another account with t-mobile in which he owes $388.28. My father has a clean credit report and they are threating to damage his credit if he does not pay that amount of money. The problem is that neither t-mobile nor southwest credit systems want to give us information about the charges. If my father was to have had that previous balance of those $388.28 at t-mobile, they would not have given him his current account with t-mobile. We just don't understand I tried to explain to both companies and neither of them knows how to explain the problem. They won’t even give us the supposedly old phone number we supposedly had with them. We never got any bills, documentation from the southwest credit systems or anything having to do with the $388.28 dollars. Please help me find an answer to this frustrating problem. I recently called t-mobile and asked them if I previously had an account with you with a balance would you have allowed me to get another account with you. Automatically the answer was “no” until the amount was paid in full. So after getting that response, I decided to contact you just to know what to do. It’s like a car dealer calling you and telling you that you owe them $2000. You ask for what car what license plate when you bought it and they don’t tell you. They just say that you need to give them $2,000. If you don’t then your credit is down the drain. Isn’t unfair? Please help.
