Hewlett-Packard Company Complaint - Tell me why this isn't fraud?
I bought this laptop in April of 2008. It gave me nothing but trouble right out of the box! I've lost count of the times I had to call customer service, let alone the hours and hours spent with their tech people. Freezing and crashing were the norm! I spent nearly $1000 on this computer, and at this point I feel as though I've been ripped off! At one point while talking to tech support, they actually asked me to unscrew the back panel to perform 'service". I reminded them that I was a customer, not a service tech! I finally convinced them to let me send it back to them to replace the hard drive. When I got it back, it did not take it long to start freezing and crashing again! When I called tech support, I was then told that my warranty had expired, and that I would have to be charged a service fee to send it back to them again! Would someone please tell me how this is not fraudulent? Let me restate, this unit has never worked properly!
