Walgreens 430 N. Michigan Chicago, IL Compliment - Siomara Sotelo and Simion Tan at Walgreens are fantastic!!
CHICAGO MAG MILE -- On Friday, November 9, I was discharged from the hospital after having a major surgery. I could only walk using a walker for the next week, and then with a cane. On Saturday I called the Walgreens and spoke to Ms. Sotelo who helped me determine if a few items I needed were in stock and she ensured that the items were then waiting in Camera for a friend who picked them up.
Today, November 9, still unable to walk but short distances using a walker, I called the Walgreens because the phone card I had purchased would not accept the minutes on an additional card I had bought. Ms. Sotelo told me that Mr. Tan, another manager, would help me by coming to my place and trying to fix the prepaid phone. While I had her on the phone I asked if she could also send some ice which I am in great need of, and some other medical items required after surgery. After paying for the items with my charge card she told me that Mr. Tan would be over to my condo in a few minutes (I'm about 5 minutes walk away).
Sure enough, in about 10 minutes, Mr. Tan appeared with the items especially the heavy ice, which I could never carry with my walker. He remained on the phone with the phone company Trac Phone for nearly 30 minutes and finally figured out what was wrong with the phone.
I live about 5 minutes from this Walgreens and get along well with some of the people who work at this store. The pharmacists have always been exceptionally helpful and courteous to me, and I often call them when I have medical interaction questions.
I'm really pleased with this recent demonstration of fantastic customer service.
