T-Mobile Complaint - Day late and dollar short
I cancelled my T-Mobile service for many of the reasons you all have described. Two months later I a whopping bill came out of my bank account for 'overages' that were not mentioned at the time I cancelled. Funny..in 8 years I never had overages. Apparently their billing cycle runs two months late? Good riddance to bad rubbish I decided that the lost funds were an expensive lesson learned. Now three months later I have had the same amount again taken form my bank account. I called the company who at first tried to give me the same run around. I gave them the exact date and transaction number of the previous deduction and was then able to get them to refund the money to my bank account.
My problem? This will take 2 to 6 business days. I am a teacher in a state where our salaries have been cut this year. Tight budget. I am biting my nails waiting for the checks I already have out to come bouncing in if this money is not refunded soon. I asked them to give me something in writing that I could take to my bank stating the money had been withdrawn in error. No can do. Lucky for me I know that these are called punitive and compensatory damages and since T-Mobile does business in my state I can take them to small claims if I end up bouncing a single check as a result.
