DirecTV Inc Complaint - Worst Company Ever - Business Practices

DirecTV said I didn't sign up for the rebate in time therefore didn't get the deal they advertise in all their commercials. By the way, this "rebate" is buried in the welcome email they send which I'm sure everyone reads! Even after escalating to a manager they said there was nothing they could do. So I canceled and paid the $300 as opposed to paying $100 a month for service for 2 years. Which by the way I could get the same service from Uverse for $29.99 (and $100 for signing up which by the way sent me multiple mailings and emails reminding me to claim that $100 gift card) Direct TV also continued auto billpayment when I told them to stop then claimed I never asked for it to stop. They also charged me for not returning the equipment so charged me $250 extra then realized it was their mistake and they did in fact get the equipment back OOPS! they will return my $250 in SIX TO EIGHT WEEKS!!!!!
DirecTV is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. If a company has to force you into a contract, they obviously know they can't keep your business otherwise. I reported to BBB and State Attorney General regarding what they put me through. By the way the BBB got my $250 refunded within 5 days so at least I didn't have to wait two months for DirecTV to correct their mistake.
