Direct Buy Informative - Treatment of a customer

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA -- I have a been a Direct Buy member for several years. Overall, the service I have received at my location (Woodbridge, VA) has been fine. The manager ALWAYS asks, if eveything was satisfactory, if he is at the main counter, when I leave the store. I am always referred to by my name when being assisted by the staff. I travel a great deal and decided to visit the Direct Buy store in Birmingham, Alabama. What a BIG MISTAKE!! I made an appointment to order window treatments. The service was lousy..in fact there was no service at all. I wandered around the store and looked at catalogs; after 30 minutes into the visit, I realized that I was not going to be helped. I then asked to speak to the manager. I have never been talked down to and treated in such a condescending, unprofessional manner as a customer. I decided to leave the store after the manager called me "Dear" and after being told how wonderful his employee was. "Customer Service" is not part of their vocabulary. I was under the impression that my membership would allow me to visit any Direct Buy Store and receive some level of service and that is not the case.
