Bank of America Complaint - Disappointed
Six charges in 20 days hit my account before I 'noticed'. I suppose we are to check our money daily and make sure it is still in the bank. While I was paying all bills from one account, I missed a former auto draft that ran an account into the negative. I noticed the red and called to see if charges could be reversed.
I was told, I could, the account needed to remain open if any charge was to be reversed. As it remained open 3 more 35.00 charges were added, also, because I was now paying these bills from another account.
I could not figure why as I toggled the intended account on bill pay, looked like the payment was coming from my intended account, the former account would attempt to pay. Now, each time I called, I was told no charge would be reversed, after first being told the opposite. My bad, I had left the account open to be preyed upon.
I am very disappointed with Bank of America. A fitting name would be Bank of Home Bankers. The public needs to quite educated about practices the wealthy are immune to. We Home Bankers, need to be our own banker. The bank takes our money if we don't have much and are not looking daily.
I don't consider myself stupid.
I have a college degree. Unfortunate for me, Bank Watching has not been a skill I have been able to master. I am sure it is all my own fault. Why do banks run electronic systems that take so much from people with the least ability to afford. People with small amounts in their accounts. I suppose it is a punitive educational practice, efficient.
Very Sad the 'Electronic Banksters' have taken over safe keeping and care for the public with little money, many w/o computer skills, the elderly, inferm, children, and often their caregivers. Perception would be that a bank is helpful. I am not asking the bank to pay my bills.
Adding 35.00 charge to a problem, multiple times is an additional problem!
