Staples Complaint - Do Not Buy A Staples Warranty/they are going out of business soon
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO -- My daughter purchased an HP laptop earlier this year/2010. Within the first month she was having problems and was over the 14-day return policy. We dropped off computer to their service tech (terrible service, these techs are worthless). Staples refused to exchange computer but sent it to HP and HP sent it back to Staples. The laptop was at Staples for over a month, they ordered new hard drive and other parts. Tech worked on the laptop but it is a lemon. My daughter lost all of her child's pictures and important documents. We contacted Staples warranty but they are not doing anything, they said we need to go through HP.
This is completely different from what was told to us when we first bought laptop and expensive warranty. They told us we needed to buy the warranty and if anything went wrong with the computer they would replace it. This has turned out to be an expensive purchase that does not work. Someone needs to start a class action suit against Staples and their warranty.
