International Wig Complaint - Credit Card hacked - wigs

wigs - Complaint
Review by richardjoy on 2010-11-16
I keep a credit card for emergencies only. I don't use it for anything, period. However, two wigs went on clearance for a huge savings in the exact color I wanted, and I was going to have the money for them next payday (I worekd overtime) over three weeks away, so I broke my own agreement and used the credit card to purchase them.

It was the only time I ever used the card, before or since.
Shortly after I charged the wigs, a $1000 charge appeared on the card from a company overseas for vitamin supplements, unrelated to the wig companys charge.

I notifed the Wig company immediately, thinking they would want to know their site was not as secure as they thought. Bad idea, very rude reply saying I accused them of selling my personal infomration. I didn't accuse them of hacking my card, I simply thought they would want to know their site was hacked. I even had coworkers read my letter to see if I had worded the letter to them in a manner that could have caused miscommunication.

Never again, I got the card charges straightened up finally, but International Wig lost another customer. It cost me more in time and money to fight the charges than I saved on the clearance sale wigs.

While you were entering the credit card info online, a spyware on your computer may have captured your card number and used that number for fraudulent use.

I suggest that you scan your computer for spywares and malwares.
