Comcast Corporation Complaint - How is Comcast still in business?
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA -- Comcast internet constantly cuts out on me and they told me I would have to get a new router. I bought a brand new router that got great reviews and the problem still exists. It cuts out about 6 times a day, sometimes for up to 30 minutes. Though I paid for one of the higher speed packages internet tests show it's really not that fast and it takes forever to download anything.
The customer service is iffy at best and when getting your service installed make sure you have 12 hours of your schedule cleared because out of the six appointments I have had they have not once been on time. Not only this, but they charged me for a modem that they did not warn me I would have to pay for and charged me an installation fee after promising me they wouldn't. I had to fight on the phone for hours to get them to drop it. They only dropped it after I threatened to switch to FiOS which has free installation.
It may be the cheapest around but I'm starting to think I'd rather pay thirty dollars a month more for something better. Not only this but their business practices are frightening and I don't like the fact that they are limiting bandwidth use and their service does not give you many of the freedoms other providers let you have.
