First USA Complaint - Dissatisfaction with Customer Service
On 10/17/01 at approximatley 4:30pm I called your customer service department. I needed to make a payment and I did not have my account number. This was the last day I could make a payment. I explained this to the customer service representative. I was not trying to make a purchase, but pay my bill. The way I treated you would think that I was asking for a million dollars. I was transferred to three more people. I gave secure information to verify my identity. Furthermore, I have called before and received my account information. I understand and appeciate the precautions taken, but AFTER I provided the information which confirmed I was the account holder I expected to receive my account number. They offered to FAX the information to me, which since I work with 15 other people would defeat the purpose of security. I spoke to two surpervisors, niether was able to assist me.
In the future, I would like to call and receive my account information once all questions and been answered and my identity confimed. If I need to sign something to remove all credit liablity from First USA I am willing to do that.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
