New England Mint Complaint - Charged without submitting

Review by now what on 2010-11-20
I went online to order the two $2 bills form New England mint. They asked for credit card info before they allowed me to see how much they would charge me for shipping or any handling charges. Just as I was going through page after page of more solicitations to spend more on folios and such, my husband had just went online and came up with this sight and the bad reviews. I closed out the link only to find an email telling me thank you for your order of two $2 bills for $10 and $11.90 in shipping. I never hit a submit or was allowed to even see how much postage I would owe before I closed out the site. I was sent an order number and a toll free number to call. I immediately called and was told they are only open from 9-6 Monday through Friday. I haven't seen a charge yet but I wouldn't usually see a charge until Monday. I will try to call them Monday to receive a cancellation and or refund. If they won't help my bank will refund my money and they will go after them for me. I hope it turns out good for everyone else.

Since New England Mint is located in Connecticut (22 South Smith St., Norwalk, CT 06855), go to http://www.ct.gov/dcp (Connecticut Dept. of Consumer Protection) and click "contact us". They may have some advice on what to do with this problem when you notify them about it.
