Ashley Furniture Complaint - Ashley Furniture Fairfield NJ does not stand behind their warranty
FAIRFIELD, NEW JERSEY -- I purchased a living room set in April of 2010. My salesman, Charles B., specifically helped me to choose a set that would be sturday and comfortable along with an insurance policy for all the pieces (sofa, loveseat, ottoman and chaise). The furniture has a one year warranty as stated on the sales contract as well. Recently, I called the store to tell them that the seams were splitting on the ottoman, the cushions are flattening on the sofa and a large decorative button had come off of the ottoman. They directed me to their customer service center in NJ. The representative there blatantly turned down my complaint, did not offer to fix it as well as Montage, the insurance carrier. The furniture is only 6 months old (from delivery date) and no one wants to do anything about satisfying my request to repair or replace the furniture as promised by my salesman at the time of purchase. I paid $2300 for the set and extremely disappointed with their cooperation and customer service. No one has even called me to follow up. Ashley Furniture gets a huge thumbs down from me. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
