DirecTV Inc Complaint - Suckling on my teet
I have been a customer with Direct TV since the day it came out. 15 Years or so. Obviously I loved there program, service, nice picture and it never went out. I recently moved into a place where it is impossible to get Direct TV service so I called to cancel my service with them. The guy on the other end was helpful and wanted to send out an Technician to make sure that service was not possible, so he scheduled an appointment and it two weeks for the Tech to arrive and the Tech looked at it for 30 seconds and laughed told me that it was impossible to get service but I already knew that but hey, apparently I needed an expert opinion. I did mention that it took two weeks for the tech to come and during this time my bill was ongoing and I was charged another month. I also mention that I had called to cancel my service but the guy insisted that the tech come out. Ok, I get this bill from Direct TV for 330.00 saying that it's seriously past due. I'm like WHAT!! You have got to be kidding me! I called Direct TV and asked the girl why and that I had canceled my service a month ago and she said that they were unable to cancel my service because the account has to be at a zero balance to cancel. Well, it was at a zero balance when I called the guy in the first place to cancel but he kept my account open until it got charged another month of service that I wasn't getting in the first place. So they keep charging me for a service that I no longer have. So when you decide to cancel your service demand that they cancel it because they will do everything to keep you on as a customer even if you can get their service or not.
