Vonage Complaint - Vonage was a waste of money
I got Vonage last Christmas for my daughter in the Navy stationed in Okinawa. She constantly had trouble with the service and only got it to work a couple of times. To be fair, the internet service she has is not the greatest but we do manage to Skype. I was stuck in a contract so I waited to pay the last bill and then tried to cancel. Even though I had paid through the contract period, they will not let me concel until the actual date which was only 10 days away! In addition, I had to call back a couple of times and wind my way through their phone trap because I was disconnected (how ironic!). While I was speaking to the representative, she admitted that they have trouble with service from Japan. What a waste of my time and money! They should not sell a service when they know very well that there are problems. Making me call back in 10 days is pure BS. Shame on them for not backing up their service and also for being a pain to work with!
