Wirefly Complaint - Beware - they provide misleading information intentionally!
Recently I placed an order with them for AT&T wireless. The order included free cell phone and AT&T family plan with 550 minutes. A day after I placed my order, they sent me an email saying that carrier wants more information to process my order. When I called them, their representative told me that I have to upgrade to a higher rate plan because AT&T does offer the plan that I selected. First of all, if that was the case, how did they let me enter my order? But lets leave it aside. I asked them to put my order on hold and I called AT&T directly. AT&T mentioned that they do offer the plan I selected and it could be wirefly's requirement to purchase higher rate plan. Next day I called Wirefly again. This time I specifically asked if the higher plan was their requirement or AT&T's requirement. Once again I was given wrong information that AT&T does not provide this plan. When I mentioned that I talked with AT&T just now, his tone changed. He mentioned that it is wirefly's requirement! So they intentionally provided wrong information - 1. that AT&T needs more information to process my order which was not the case. and 2. upgrading to higher rate plan was not AT&T's requirement but it was wirefly's requirement.
I cancelled my order and told them that I am not comfortable doing business with them. And yes, customer service was not professional at all. I am worried they have my credit card information
