Telemarketers Informative - TURN "OFF" A TELEMARKETER

Review by huss on 2005-03-20
SYRACUSE, INDIANA -- Since Indiana has its own "no-call" list and now the Govt. as well we are hearing that banks are wanting this ban lifted for them - this means every single solitary credit card company in the universe. Before we had the no-call this is how my wife would handle it and it helped "us" quite a lot.
Thankfully when they call and we "need" to make a call we use our cell phone BUT when they called-- ask them if they can hold for a second - lay your phone down and leave it there until you pick it up and find no one at the other end or your phone starts blipping because the other party has hung up -

LOL....that's a good one! I used to work with a lady whose husband used to screw with telemarketers big time! He would either talk to them in Spanish until they gave up & hung up on him, or no matter what they were trying to sell him, he's be like 'we don't need a new vacuum cleaner!' She said that he used to p1ss them off big time!

I have a suggestion for people getting these calls. When they ask for "Mr./Mrs. So-and-so", Answer them by saying "What a minute. I'll see if they're here." And then leave them hanging. And this time you will have the advantage!
