Duet HT and Customer Service - Complaint
I purchased a DUET HT in Aug 09. In Aug 10 I got the F70 and F71 codes. Which means the MCU and CCU are not communicating. Whirlpool agreed to send a technician out since it was at the end of the one year warranty. Took over a week to get one out. He unplugged some wires plugged them back in and said its OK now, you had a loose wire.
10 minutes after he left I loaded it up and got the same codes again. Turned it off and back on and it miraculously started working again. However today the thing will only beep at me. No lights, no codes, and no clean clothes.
I have also noticed a foul odor in the towels and will be looking into the suit that is already filed in regards to these washers.
My suggestion is when the salesman says Whirlpool RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN away. But if you want to get one at least get an extended warranty because you will need it.
