Target Complaint - Wrong Part, Bad Service!
VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased this Christmas tree from the Victorville Target. When I started to assemble it I noticed that I could not attach the tree to the base. The ring that keeps the tree stable was the wrong size, it was to small for my tree. I took the part back to Target and explained to them my issue. I was told by the customer service representative and the M.O.D. that they could not help me because that tree was out-of-stock and they could not let me have the piece I needed off of their display. They thes] told me that a Target store 20 miles away had the tree in-stock and that I could go there to get the part but since the tree was on sale they could not put one of trees on hold for me. So they expected me to drive 20 miles for a part that might not even be there, rather than just giving me the part off of their display! A display that is useless because they are out-of-stock on that tree.
Does Target know the meaning of customer service?! They should take a lesson from Costco, which is where I'm going after I return the tree to Target. Costco may charge a little more but you get a better quality product and EXCELLENT customer service.
