Crevier BMW of Santa Ana California Informative - 2005 BMW 325CI Reapir

Review by sw425b on 2010-11-30
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA -- The headlight blub on my 2005 BMW 325CI was not working so I called the dealer to repair. Initially, I was told it will be cover under warranty, however, it was not. I have 100,000 miles warranty. He looked at it and gave me an estimate of $165 to replace the bulb. I asked how much for part and how much for labor. Part was $55 and labor $110. So I picked the bulb at their part’s dept for $37. I took the car to our mechanic and asked him to replace the bulb. In less than 5 minutes, he changed the bulb and did not even charge me. He said that I paid too much for the bulb, for the same bulb he would have charged me $18.

The bottom line is DO NOT GET ANY REPAIR DONE AT THE BMW DEALER UNLESS IT IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. $165 vs. $18 They will rip you guys off.

lol oh heck yeah they were taking you to the cleaners. thats normal for dealerships, especially a BMW dealership. You probably could have gotten the bulb at autozone for around 7-10 bucks, and I also could replace it in 5 minutes or less.
