I my opinion, AHS sucks. They are over priced from other carriers for home extened warrantys. They would rather repair than replace my swamp cooler, which continues to break down and cause extra money, no only for me, but for them. Also, I could have had the job done cheaper with my contractor than the one they use. I advised them that I had had maintenance done on my cooler, and had proof, but they advised it was not done by the company they use. How was I to know what company they use for maintenance to protect against failure of the unit.
I thought Sears was reputable enough. No, I would not recommend them to any other home owners.. Further, for other systems, they always have an excuse for "non-coverage.
