Do you alway's expect that the manager's to yell some bad words from the front to the back? Or should it be that manager's should pull you off to just them & manager's? Some of your called manager's shouldn't even be Manager's! Very rude to all of the kids whom have be hired by you & to pick out the special ones to me shouldn't be like that. And even some of your older employee's. But I think the manager's just shouldn't pick favorites! And to nit pick on those new kids who sometimes need extra time to learn should be taught correctly! Someone needs to gonna need a better way to teach them & given a 2nd chance? And if some isn't right to the new employees; shouldn't they be talked to privately; in stead of cursing them out & yelling from the front to the back just isn't right. To make a better place; I think they should back off & still give them a 2nd chane; instead of letting their favorite's to get away with just about anything! And I am employee now at just 1 of your McDonald stores & I am only doing what I can without a lot of just trying hard & never giving-up! They told me they would order a stool with a back to it; but instaed I'm on this very small stool that likes to slip. And the stool has slid on me twice & have caught myself & I should of just fallen & maybe even been hurt; then what? I know the goverment would not agree! But I'm trying so hard; considerating of what I've been thru!!! But the yelling business has to stop & alway's talk to your employee's(new or old) should not of been told (What's ya gonna do just walk & quit just out like 2 of our ex-emploee's have done. But they got a 2nd chance!!!) This isn't right at all; when some kids or anyone for that fact that has been hired that really wants a job with you & to be talked & yelled at in front of your customer's that are sitting in your fast food of business have over heard all of this! And I know I'm bringing in new customer's & have respect for me & now half of them never want to return to eat at McDonald's whom have alway's been here in every single day! So really you're all losing business; cause of some of your very young manager's that don't even have a smile on their face & can't even keep their customer's business. But I know a lot of them that have came to eat there & now they don't even want to return back & have gone somewhere else. Is this what you all really want? Eventually you're not even going to have many of your regulars that alway's have been coming in there for yr. s now to eat! So this McDonald's may not be in business just because of very rude manager's & that's alway's your youngest ones whom are manager's! They need to be brought dwon a notch or even 2 & just go back to work there bottoms off; like they make everyone else do! I suggest to not even get these kids into management at all! And I know a way to do that; but I'd never tell you all. And very disabled people should be treated with respset!!! So: do you all get what I'm trying to say. And I'm a very disabled woman whom was promised a stool with a back; cause what I'm sitting on slides like crazy; esp. when it slides out fromunder on me! Next time I will fall along with the little bitty stool to sat on; when I don't even have good health anyways's & can't have great balance at all! And if I really get hurt on the job by my stool slipping out fromunder on me; at least I know it better not come against me! Cause I'll have fallen so many times anyway & have really hurt myself & ended right back into a hospital again & again with myself there only so much you ever do about that! Then what; am I FIRED! Then I'll be able to live; don't you think? Your manager's never can just even get any stories of there's; there's no communication between any of them! So McDonald's should alway's give a kid or anyone whom has be hired by your company; cause have any of you ever thought that maybe they really do need a 2nd chance; & really after-all at least they are not out on the streets getting into trouble. So you all better treat everyone equally! Your a Wonderful chain & at least these kids are doing what they can do work for you all; but if manager's are gonna just pick one out & then let them go when all they needed was just a private session alone w/the manager & just with the 2 of the alone! I can stand a manager yelling from the back to the front & then your mostly all evening manager's just yell out these terrible curse words to where all of your customer's out eating in the dining room & with small children & they hear curse words all of the way fromfront to back & from the back to the front! Alot of your customer's are going somewhere else to eat; just because almost none of them don't even need in management place! So this is all I have to say; except I'm so sorry for all of this; but someone had to let you all know! Thank you for listening & I am trying very hard to just keep myself calm; cause of poor management! I could do better that half of them there. And I'm not even able to help out a lot; but what I've gone thru since 1991; it's so stressful on me to even want to try for such pooly way's at your McDonald's & NO I've even stopped coming in with a down-syndrome child to get his most favorite cheeseburger's; FF; & a drink. Never again & I've brout all 5 of my children for Happy Meals all of their life & your hamburger's evenhave blood running out of them before they are really cooked on your grill; but oh no; manager's say the warmer will finish cooking them. But not if you're in a ruch time; they bloody hamb. or Cheeseburger. s And not so much salt should ever be put on the FF; except just maybe once & no a whole lot; some folks can't have that much salt; so just hand out some salt packets & ketchup to go with their order of FF. Now I think I'm really done; & if this falls back on me as a very disabled person whom is at least trying her very much & I have brought you all a lot of customer's; cause once I was told I had 6 mon. to a yr. to live & was not married at the; so the State took my down-syndrome/Autistic son away from me & that alone almost killed me again. And I have died twice already; but the Grace of God & all of my children whom I had to be there for; & all family also. But I never give-up! So think about what you are all really doing to these poor kids whom you could help alittle more & keep them off the streets; cause not a good world we live in & God only knows all of what could happen to the children. (YOUNG ADULTS & OLDER AT THAT!) I really hope that God can forgive you all for treating your employee's the way they do. And that's at any McDonald's that I've ever been too a lot! But never again will I ever take my children to eat inside ever again; cause of the cursing that everyone hears! Sorry to have to complain; but I've worked fast food places a lot & I've never seem a get up the way you all handle these things! Thank you & I hope God can forgive each & everyone of you. God Bless All anyways's. And I know for a fact that the Government you all out in a very big way. Been there & I know all about it after a lot of yr. s w/out X-mas's or Birthday's for my children & for even my grand-children! And NO FOOD even in my home for yr. s for my children! I'm so sorry once again; but someone had to say this! Have a Great Day. Something has to give or you'll never keep help at all! Or your customer's! I already know this also & I'll make sure they ALL never return to such a poorly way of all of your ways. Yuck; a very bloody Quarter pound cheeseburger that was just thown away & very upset & has never returned in 3 yr. s. So very sad!

Who were you hoping would read this letter? If you are having issues with your manager, I'm sure McDonald's has a process to follow where you can request to speak to their immediate boss about your concerns.
One bit of advice, leave out all of the other personal information and just focus on the issues that directly impact your job. Good luck.

It sounds like there's a lot of issues at play here.

From what you've written it sounds like there's been a history of butting heads with this manager.

Over accommodations such as your stool, I can understand your point of view.

However there are other areas in which, quite frankly, the store is right. For example - if the corporation has established guidelines on how food is made, then a single employee is not allowed to start changing it just because of his or her opinion.

That's just reality.


I would recommend seeing if they can list exactly why you were fired and to go over it with you. However - if you're looking for a second chance - I would recommend NOT fighting them on that list.

I found your post rather difficult to read, but was able to glean that you indicated you are disabled. You may want to check with your employers policy on accomodation for employees with disabilities. It does seem, that they may be in violation of the ADA. You might also want to check with your labor board.

I have several things that I would like to address in your post and will address them one at a time.
First of all, I'd like to address what you said about employees who are "fired." Having been previously employed by the Trenton MCDonalds, I know for a FACT, that there are only two ways that employees can lose their jobs; by putting in their two weeks notice, or by self-termination. Self-termination can include, but is not limited to: Frequent call ins, no call no shows, or by simply not doing the required job. And lets be realistic here: any employer who wants to run a successful business, is not going to keep paying an employee who does NOT do their job. And for the record, when an employee walks out, they LOSE their jobs. They do not get a second chance. However, if an employee puts in their two weeks, they are eligible to be rehired.
Secondly, I'd like to address what you stated about the managers.

And I know a way to do that; but I'd never tell you all." Managers at the Trenton McDonalds are managers because they WORKED THEIR WAY UP. They weren't just given the job, they had to earn it. They started at the bottom, went to classes to learn the ins and outs of the stores and had to pass food safety certification tests, before they were accepted. Also, for the record, the manager's job is to MANAGE. That means that their real job description is to literally have not position so that they can run the store. They aren't supposed to be in grill, or run for drive thru or take orders. And for the record, the managers do NOT yell out curse words at the employees. They may yell to back drive thru or grill to go faster, or they may call back to have someone from the first window to bring something to the front, but that's it. I suggest that you actually learn how the business works, before you go spouting off your OPINIONS about the managers, that have absolutely no basis in fact.

First of all, they're called UHC cabinets. Secondly, when the meat comes off the grills, it goes into special trays that hold in heat and allow the meat to cook in the cabinets and this only applies to beef products. All products besides beef are fully cooked on the grills. The interior of the cabinets are heated to temperatures between 175 and 200 degrees F, depending on the product that is in the cabinets. Now, about the salt on the fries. The salt shaker drops a predetermined amount of salt on the fries. If customers extra salt, they are given packets. If they don't want salt on their fries, they are given fries that go straight from the fry basket, to the fry box; they do not come in contact with any salted fries. Again, you really need to learn more about the business that you're in, before you post things like this. You are literally posting out and out lies.
Fourthly, stop throwing yourself a pity party. Yes, you may have had a hard life and may still have a hard life. However, keep in mind, that everyone else has own sob story and going on and on about the sadness in your life, doesn't make people feel sorry for you and honestly, makes your argument much less effective. Matthew 7:1 "Judge not, lest you be judged." Do not presume to know the heart or mind of God. By saying "I really hope that God can forgive you all for treating your employee's the way they do." you are actually contradicting your own beliefs. Isn't Christianity a religion that is centered around a loving and forgiving God? Perhaps you should read your bible, listen to the sermons more carefully and learn more about Christianity, lest you become a hypocritical Christian (Someone who judges others for not upholding the faith, when they themselves, do not live by the Christian standards.)
And finally, I am shocked by the complete lack of professionalism that you are showing. You stated yourself, that you are still currently an employee of this establishment: "And I am employee now at just 1 of your McDonald stores & I am only doing what I can without a lot of just trying hard & never giving-up!" You do realize that because you posted this on the internet, that anyone can read this. You posted things about this establishment, that are completely untrue. This post is actually grounds for you to lose your job, through self termination, which means that you will NOT be eligible for rehiring and you will NOT be eligible to draw unemployment from the store.
I suggest that next time you think about posting a blog of this nature, you actually learn as much as possible about what you're posting. You presented your opinions as fact and outright lied about store policy. By posting false information about the integrity of a business, you are opening yourself up to a lawsuit.
