Better Business Bureau/Minnesota Complaint - No reply to our complaint

After submitting documented proof (per their web page instructions)for a business in Minnesota, they never had the courtesy to reply. The date this proof was mailed is October 19, 2004. Today's date is March 21, 2005.

the BBB is useless. Everones faith in it to shut down companies they might be having a problem with is laughable.

To understand why the BBB did not respond to you, and why it is ineffectual to the consumer, read the latest My3cent's posting "Complaints Against The Better Business Bureau".

In short, the BBB is a business trying to stay financially afloat through the funds collected from their members; the very people or businesses you wrote a complaint on. Read up on the latest My3cent postings about this matter.

Regardless of the complaint and what effectiveness they could produce, the BBB should respond as SOP. They send the complaint to the business and then forward the response to you. If the business doesn't respond, then the BBB would send you a form letter stating such. There is usually a 10 day window for the response. I would call them and see if they in fact, acknowledge receiving your complaint and even have a case open. It may have been one of those lost in the shuffle things.
