DirecTV Inc Complaint - DirecTV Knowingly And Willfully Tried To Bait And Switch Me!!!!!
So we've all been reading about how DirecTV punishes customer loyalty by charging far more for far fewer services then their new customers who are offered FREE HD, FREE DVR and lower monthly bills. THIS, AS MOST KNOW (from experience), IS EVEN IF YOUR CONTRACT IS UP.
So I call to cancel service and go to the more reputable, caring and better priced Dish Network. I am sent to Josh (Badge #: 100472636) in the customer retention department who purportedly, after nearly 30 minutes, finds a way to MATCH Dish Networks prices.
We agree and they send me to the Customer Order Verification Center where I am to confirm everything. I am then told that I am about to be charged a near fortune for all the new services and they have no such plans that match Dish Networks fees and services.
I, with 22 years of CRM experience, have never even read of anything so bile in my life. To punish customer loyalty is one thing - but to bait and switch and try and lure me into a new contract via deception? That is blatant fraud.
I filed a complaint with the FCC and then sent e-mails to the entire executive branch of their corporate office. I never received a single response - and don't expect to. After arguing with them for many months I have found they have no customer service and don't appear to even attempt to want to offer it.
Extraordinarily Pathetic are the first words that come to mind - but, sadly, this doesn't even come close
It is my personal opinion that you should avoid this company at any and all cost.
