Dish Network Complaint - Don't Do It!
I finally cancelled Dish and opted for cable. I was tired of pixilated reception, and interrupted pay-per-view movies for which they refuse to issue credits. Don't even get me started on their tech support! I refuse to talk to another representative in India that I can't understand, who spends 20 minutes doing nothing more than incorrectly repeating what they "hear me saying". The same thing happens every time. The have me run "tests" on the system that not only do not correct the problem, but end up resetting something where I have to pay for a service call to get it working again. The final straw was when I cancelled, I was told I could mail the receivers to them at the cost of $15, or I could deliver it to their office. They gave me the address of their location and I drove the 60 miles to deliver it, only to find there is no such Dish location...it is a soccer store. I called to complain and now this representative tells me they never instruct people to deliver receivers. She basically called me a liar, then refused to waive the measly $15 UPS charge to mail it in. When I let her know I would be spreading this bad word-of-mouth, she was fine with that. Dish Networks only cares about getting new customers, not about making them happy. RUN, DON'T WALK, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PATIENCE!
