Starbucks Complaint - Less Authentic - Service
I have to agree with Turboflier about the service problems at Starbucks. I too dislike the impersonal service and the constant sell, sell, sell mantra shoved upon the employees by management. It is almost as bad as the hideous "Lettace Entertain You" servers in Chicago. My local Starbucks is barely 50 yards from where I live and I rarely go there anymore. I used to enjoy the atmosphere, but present "management" seems determined to terrify their employees into "Stepford Wife" conformity...only a one of the baristas has stayed on since the shop opened almost 4 years ago. When management is present (let's be clearer: the franchise owners) I no longer exist as a long-time friend and customer. Until a couple of years ago-people really loved working there. Now, they can't keep their help.
