Kmart/ Sears Holding Co. Complaint - Community involvement
Resolution Update on 12/18/2010:
The community has shared good information. Thanks to all and Merry Christmas.
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA -- I, Thomas Ammons visited the Kmart in Savannah, GA yesterday and went to buy and to see if management would assist in giving a better price reduction or possibly donating a few more coats to what I was buying for needy chidren in our town of Patterson, GA which is 90 miles away from Kmart. I was told by Mng. Steve Marsh that he could not do anything because corporate wouldn't allow him to give a price reduction an a sale item nor could he donate any clothing for the coats for children sponsored by The Patterson Bank in Patterson. I went ahead with my purchase of the (10) coats that I bought to give to children in our community, no thanks to Kmart or Mr. Marsh. I know we in small communities do not get a lot of recognition when we are not local to the sores but I know that Mr. Marsh could have done a little to help kids who have no coats for the winter, some probably don't have much to eat let alone clothes to wear. I know what the manager could and could not do, as I once worked for Kmart as an employee. I wish my experience with Kmart could have ended on a "Great" Heart warming consideration for our little community. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to at least read my complaint and God bless you. TA#1
