Florest Express Complaint - Late Flower Delivery

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my GF on her birthday. At the end of the day on her b-day I had to call and find out why they weren't delivered. Their answer was basically "I don't know, it must be the florists fault". The only compensation they offered was to deliver it the next day with a few more flowers than normal and a 50% discount, which did not even come close to making up for ruining my GFs b-day surprise. I thought that may be this was a fluke, but after doing more research I've found many reviews complaining about the same thing.

The bottom line is that you shouldn't use this service if you need flowers delivered on a specific day. There is a good chance they won't get there until the day after you intended. Just call your local florist instead. Odds are that is the same florist they are using.

Just curious, why didn't you just call your local florist in the first place?

I can't think of a time when using one of these online/third party florists is better than just calling a local florist.
