E*Trade Complaint - E*trade customer service
MERRIFIELD, VIRGINIA -- While dividing assets after a divorce, etrade making if difficult. Have multiple other accounts divided without trouble. My initial contact would only give verbal instruction. My first attempt resulted in no response from them. After 3 weeks I contacted them and was told info was not satisfactory. They again refused to provide clear written instruction. On that call different information requested. They require my info to to be written and notarized, but will not provide written guidelines. While the info was not sufficient to take any positive action, it was enough to make my assets disappear. My account balance shows $0. They also will not accept any e-mail from me or allow me to even review my assets or tell me exactly where my assets are, except to assure me that e*trade has it. If I ever get my assets, I will be gone.
